How to Build a Canvas Course

LMS Construction (College Project)
Project Overview
During my time in graduate school, I focused most of my projects around a single concept: How to Build a Canvas Course. Over my program myself (as well as a team in some parts) were able to create detailed story boards, flowcharts, and an instructional guide. This excercise and assignment showcases my ability to produce documentation in which I am not the sole implementor of the content.

Deliverables
Instructional Treatment Plan
In this stage, we did a mock interview with an administration team of a school that wanted to start using Canvas LMS. We research what was the best grounded instructional strategy in which to build the training. We also took great care to consider the individual school and their unique needs regarding technology and devices.

This contains the objectives, methodologies, settings, and any other constraints that would appear during the training. This is the first step in the design process as it lets the client know all the expectations about the training and then agree to them (or request any changes) before development begins.
Flowcharts and Storyboards
After the treatment plan was agreed upon, we then outlined and sketched a flowchart of the sequence in which the training would be lead. Considering the training would be both synchronous and asynchronous we also gave a detailed look at how navigation would be inside of Canvas. Also provided are detailed descriptions and scripting of how the different parts of the training should be lead.
Instructional Guide
This is the final deliverable for the training before proper handoff to the administrative team. This guide includes all scripts, checklists, assessments, and any other miscellaneous parts that would be needed to lead the training to full completion.
